Meet Louisa Allen, the daughter of Irish immigrants. Her father is a butcher, and her mother's job is raising Louisa and her two siblings, Wesley and Maxine. Louisa has two best friends. Their names? James(Buck) Buchanan Barnes and Steven(Stevie) Grant Rogers. The time period? The 1940s. The story? You'll have to read to find out!
