His new queen, not a match for her predecessor, soon became a tyrannous monarch hellbent on causing pain for those who did not accept her. One of those was her step-son, the Prince Taiden, who would one day rule the kingdom. On the outskirts of Lyris is an outcast; a young girl with scales on her neck and a dagger in her belt. Xylia is a hunter who is watching the last of her people succumb to a death no one can stop.
