My name is Lucy Clark. I am a freshman in college in London and live at home with my alcoholic mom and abusive stepdad. My step father has abused me since I was 10 years old. I have managed to hide this from everyone in my life. By everyone I mean my best friend Harry Styles. His family moved into the house next door to mine when I was in kindergarten and he was in 2nd grade. We have been best friends ever since. I'm not sure how I managed to hide the cuts and bruises and black eyes from someone who I saw every day for years, but I did.
I am a nobody. I have no friends because I can't build relationships when my stepdad will just tear them down. I hide in the shadows and no one knows my name.
Eventually Harry left to go on tour with his new fancy band. I put myself through school, and live with my crappy parents as a result of not having any money. I find a way to get up in the morning, go to school, and then come home to an angry stepdad who will just use me as his personal punching bag while my mom is passed out on the couch from the vodka. One day Harry calls and says he's coming home and bringing his new band mates and he wants me to meet them. What the hell am I going to do?
