*Prequel to The Hybrids, Doesn't have to be read in order* The new lighting in our bustling town added warmth, I guess you could call it the city of lights. Nicolette Bellerose lived in Paris, France during the Victorian Era (1889 to be exact) and had a beautiful big house with many rules. Even though she would much rather play with the boys, she has to dress elegantly constantly and remember her lady manners and posture. One of the things that came with living a good life in those days was finding, and marrying the right man--one that had enough money to support you and your family. When she finally meets the man she has heard so much about ever since she was little, she doesn't mind the idea as much. That is until she meets Greyson Pierce LeBeau who is hiding dark secrets about his past. But what if he isn't the man that they talk about in ghost stories, what if his smile lit up a room and he made you feel as if you were floating. What if he was like anyone else, working in several mills just to support his family. What if every time you walked down the streets of Paris with the newly built Eiffel tower's lights shining down all around you it was like an adventure. What if you could break all the rules from the life you know, would you do it?

As I went down the steps into the lower cabin, I walked into a room that seemed to lead to all the others . Turning to my right, I was slightly startled to see a boy sitting on the bed there, with a guitar in his hands. He looked up at me through his blue ombre hair curiously. "Uh, hi!" I waved at him sheepishly. "Are...Are you Luka, by any chance?" The boy smiled at me coyly, before replying, "Maybe." ~~~~~~ Being the new girl in school is something Leya Parkin is very used to. She's smart, kind, and the most charismatic person you could ever hope to meet - but apparently people don't like that much. So, she moves to Paris, where she hopes people will give her a chance. Using writing as her getaway, she can turn anything into a poem to make her feel better. When she makes friends in Marinette Dupain-Chang and her crew, and meets Juleka's older brother, Luka, sparks begin to fly, and she finds herself wondering whether Luka feels the same. After all, she can't ignore the feelings that have been there all along. *I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE CHARACTERS OR THE AU EXCEPT LEYA* *Highest Ranking - #1 in LUKAXOC*
