Zach McCallister is an average teenager who goes to Wisteria High School as a sophmore student. His life is going nowhere until he meets Dylan Barker, a tall, thin, and optimistic upperclassmen. Zach takes an instant disliking to Dylan so he doesn't become attached to this guy he just met. Zach isn't doing so well in life, so he's been cautious as to who he socializes with. With that said, there's rarely anyone he talks to so he can just get past through the day with no problems. Zach meets Dylan on the first day of school, when he gets into a fight with Jack, a homophobic senior who treats him like shit everyday. And with Dylan being Dylan, he stepped up and helped Zach. Soon after, Dylan can't seem goodbye to this stranger so in the spur of the moment, he asks Zach to help him find his classes since he's new.

Surprisingly, Zach agreed, unknown to what waits for him in the path he chose.
