Because of this, they were cast out of Heaven. The Angels want to purge the world of everything that has tainted the humans and their souls, as for The Fallen Ones, they want to destroy all hope for humans because Alex and Jace are the last two humans are the last two who have not been tainted by the Fallen One's ways of wickedness.
