As a straight individual, I grew up never understanding the hate for same-sex couples. My family would bash on them, stating things like 'How disgusting' and so would the local community when I was younger, even now remains an alarming amount of stigma. The place I'm from, Gibraltar, doesn't even have same-sex legalised yet. There is a lot of stigma towards same-sex couples, so that some of them have to keep their relationships in secret due to the pressure. I'm friends with one same-sex couple and along with the normal relationship issues they receive, they also have to deal with stigma from others which is dreadful to hear. They shouldn't have to face this enormous pain at all and this poem reflects my feelings towards the stigma.

Lingling had everything-success, wealth, and a woman who loved her unconditionally. But in her pursuit of greatness, she took Orm's love for granted, brushing off her affections as mere distractions. One night, exhausted from work, Lingling ignored Orm's calls, thinking they were just more of the same sweet nothings. The next morning, she woke up to dozens of missed calls and a voicemail that shattered her world-Orm had been in a terrible accident, and her last words were "I love you." Consumed by guilt and grief, Lingling spirals into despair, wishing for nothing more than a chance to go back-to love Orm the way she deserved. That's when she stumbles upon a mysterious, glowing four-leaf clover. A whispered wish, a flash of light, and suddenly, she finds herself thrown back in time-back to when Orm was still alive.
