With her birthday fast approaching, a young girls parents move into a small town in Louisiana to apply for well paying jobs. Alyssa Roberts is a 7 year old girl with a mind of creativity, and a lively spirit. But everything soon changes after her father buys a porcelain puppet at a quiet shop at the side of town. Things started to begin happening in the house; whether it was misplaced objects, or even hearing their daughter say her puppet talks to her. As things begin to get worse and worse, the father takes the puppet back to the shop; only to have it appear in Alyssa's hands again somehow. Alyssa's parents then begin searching for answers. They then realize, they did not just buy a ordinary puppet; they bought its history too.

Cora always thought she was a normal girl. . . or at least as normal as a human girl could be when her parents owned a school for "mythical" creatures. But when she learns that she is an undead-dead nature spirit, things get complicated. Caught between two boys, her new powers, an extra parent, and a disease ridden spirit crazy for power, she has to make some decisions she never thought she'd have to make. Now it's only a matter if she can make the right ones, and if she can do it before time runs out. *First Round of Edits~More edits (possibly to story line) yet to come*
