Maggie smirked, stopped cleaning the dish, and leaned against the counter and looked at Emma. "You and Carter been playing down by the Edgewood Railroad tracks eh?"
Emma blushed and looked at her shoes. "That doesn't mean anything happens," she looked at Maggie sternly. "Besides, he's four years older than me!" Maggie tried not to smile, but failed, and the corners of her mouth tugged upwards slightly. She rolled her eyes and gave Emma a pointed look. "You're twelve. He's 16." She paused and lifted her eyebrows. "I was only in sixth grade when Kaden was a senior. Now we're engaged. Your point?"
Emma smiled and rolled her eyes. "Carters my best friend. I've never really thought of him that way before though. I bet he hasn't either." Maggie laughed. "Oh, I bet he has." With that, Maggie turned on her heel, and walked towards the door. Without looking over her shoulder, she said, "You won't be saying that when you two are married." Emma blushed for what seemed like the 100th time that day, and smiled.

"Zachary." I snickered. He growled playfully as I laughed, dodging his attempt to grab me and took off running in a random direction. "Would you like to dance?" the boy asks me. I stare deep into his blue eyes, but I can't figure out who he is. He's tall with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is. "Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. "I had a wonderful time tonight," says the guy. He reaches to his face and removes his mask. I recognize him immediately.
