Dawn had always felt out of place in the underworld. Her mother, the infamous Grim reaper herself, always assured her that she was perfectly normal. However, when she meets Lucifer for the first time, Dawn's eyes are opened. 

Just as she is about to get her reaper's license, Lucifer realizes that Dawn is half reaper, half angel. And what do you do with a halfie? You send them to heaven... 

Dawn begins to question her own identity as she meets her father for the first time and tries to navigate her way through a whole new world. 

And of course the presence of the obnoxious angel, Raphael, doesn't help make her situation less complicated. Especially when she starts to develop feelings for him.
