The spirit realm is under attack from forces lead by the demon Malgun. Sickened by his desire to posses the last artefact of the third plane (a knife), Malgun is determined to tear both the spirit world and that of the humans in his search for it. And so it is that the spirit Sora sends the knife from her besieged city in the hands of a human girl in the hope that she can evade the clutches of Malgun long enough for the knife to fulfil its true purpose.
