"Let go of me!" I screamed through the tears running down my cheeks. "Not until you say it," he replied, gripping my wrist tighter, so the pain began to surge through my arm. "Fine, I love you," I whispered, defeated by his blue eyes. "Finally," he replied just as quiet, pulling me into a hug. As much as I wanted to leave his arms and run as fast as I could away from him. I couldn't. I did love him. So I stayed. I'd become a part of his world.

"Please wake up." I said as I held his hand. I looked for any sign of response; a movement beneath an eyelid, a twitch of a finger. Nothing. He was just... blank. I felt the tears come. I played with his hand in mine; traced invisible messages in his palm with my finger, hoping just maybe he'd magically be able to get them. Tears started falling down my cheeks. I held his hand gently against my lips. Tears dropped on his fingers until they were as wet as my eyes. I rested my head on his limp hand. "I told you I needed you to stay."
