Killian Jones is the beloved prince of the kingdom ruled by his brother, King Liam. When his brother starts to fall ill, he requests that Killian try to find a woman to share the throne that will soon be passed down to him. Liam wishes to see his little brother married before he goes. But nothing seems to work as suitor after suitor comes to meet Killian only to be turned away. The women he meets are lovely, graceful, and kind, but he doesn't feel a spark with any of them, and he refuses to marry someone he does not love. Will he find that perfect someone before Liam passes?
Emma Swan is one of the most infamous pirates in the realm. Her ship, The Dark Swan, strikes fear wherever it goes. She and the beloved prince Killian have nothing in common.
