Its no doubt you gave your all
But in love even the greatest may fall
For you and I are a strange specie
And priceless at times is the same as free
You Watch your love as it goes to waste
And once sweet kisses leave a sour taste
You're welled up with words you cannot say
It drowns your heart each passing day
Its never enough though you play your part
As your rib cages trap your broken heart
A lost cause I am and cannot stay
Your parents and guardians would cast away
You deceive yourself your choice is right
But curse and cry on sleepless nights
I'm not your type but a compromise
You thread blindly in love with open eyes
Out of pity I long for you
My conditional affection to you is true
I push you far but you rebound
I bruised your soul but you abound
In my endless absence you're still around
You must first be lost before you're found
You know I'll leave but you care to try
I pluck your wings but you dare to fly
Your faith in me covers my flaws
But I am still a lost cause.

"Tell me, little cat, what can you do now?" he asked, fully aware of the answer. My throat was tight, but I managed to whisper, "Nothing." He chuckled darkly. "Correct answer." Then, I felt a cold metal press against my ring finger. I glanced down to see him sliding a ring onto it. My eyes widened at the sight of the delicate silver band-thin and smooth, with a polished finish, adorned with a tiny, round diamond at its center. His blood stained the ring. In simple terms, it was a cage-seemingly straightforward but heavy with meaning. It was a symbol of his power and possession over me; I belonged to him. I began to feel a sense of suffocation, as if the ring were tightening around my throat, but I remained silent while he gently caressed the ring on my finger. "Never take this off," he murmured, bringing my hand to his lips and kissing the ring before brushing each of my knuckles softly, leaving behind a tainted mark. "Now sleep, little cat. A grand punishment awaits you behind the red doors." I closed my eyes, surrendering entirely. Dizziness began to wash over me. I had fought to keep my eyes open, knowing I was on the verge of losing consciousness. But now, it was over. Everything. I let my mind rest for a moment before bracing for another hell. His world was filled with darkness, so much that it was impossible for someone to even look into his eyes. That night when I met him in the rain, darkness all around, I did not know what his eyes held. I was in an illusion from the beginning, the mirage that he was my knight in shining armor, when he was the devil of my desires. Now, when I have realized who he really is, I have decided to escape him. For obvious reasons, I decided to run and run to escape the darkness. But every time I try, my hopes get crushed by those black hawk eyes, somehow those eyes, his eyes that hold the depth of deep black, dark oceans meet my very own brown eyes and again I am trapped in his world full of darkness. I am an escapist and he is my prisoner. I want to leave while he has chained me to himself. My hopes are all under the pool of darkness, where my heart beats at an unknown pace. He leans in, his breath ghosting over my skin, every inch of space between us collapsing. "Still pretending you have a choice?" His voice is soft, almost amused. My throat tightens, but I force the words out anyway. "I don't belong to you." A low, knowing chuckle rumbles through him. Fingers tighten around my chin, tilting my face up until I'm caught in his unyielding gaze. Cold. Calculating. "Belong?" he echoes, as if the word itself is laughable. "You exist because I allow it. You breathe because I haven't taken that from you, yet." Tears burn at the edges of my vision, but I don't dare look away. "Fight all you want," he murmurs, eyes scanning my face, his grip unshaking. "Scream, beg, break--I don't care. In the end, little one, you'll learn. Because every part of you?" His lips brush against my ear, a cruel whisper of finality. "It's already mine." __________________________________________ A meaningless prank call caused this disaster, a series of deaths and misery. And maybe it was more than a prank call... maybe it was your loved ones, the people you least expect it to be, to stab you in the back. There is a community of the spirit. Join it, and feel the delight of walking in the noisy street, and being the noise. Drink all your passion, and be a disgrace. Close both eyes to see with the other eye. Open your hands, if you want to be held. Sit down in this circle. Quit acting like a wolf, and feel the shepherd's love filling you. At night, your beloved wanders. Don't accept consolations. Close your mouth against food. Taste the food. You moan, "She left me." "He left me." Twenty more will come. Be empty of worrying. Think of who created thought! Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open? Move outside the tangle of fear-thinking. Live in silence. Flow down and down in always widening rings of being. There's a strange frenzy in my head, of birds, flying, each particle circulating on its own. Is the one I love everywhere? Drunks fear the police, but the police are drunk too. People in this town love them both like different chess pieces. ----------------------------------- All things that we hide in our hearts eat us alive.
