"I'd rather be a lover than a fighter for you...cause all my life, I've been fighting." -Adrick

...

Angel Li and Adrick Stone have never talked once in their lives. They're two completely different people.

Angel is the "typical" smart one. Everyone always expects her to be perfect. Perfect daughter, perfect friend, perfect person, perfect girlfriend, perfect everything. But her life was far from it with a non-mom, dead sister, and dead ex-best friend. All she does is hide behind sarcastic remarks and books, far from the twisted truth of how she ended up like this.

The fighter: Adrick. All his life, he's been the untouchable tough guy. The only thing he has going for him is his two siblings, the playboy life he never wanted to sign up for, and an incorrigible dad. He plays his role well though. He's a heartless bad boy that fights to survive. He'd take a million punches in order to put food on the table for his sisters.

When Adrick calls Angel because he needed her help, he never expected to develop a friendship with her. And she never expected that the school's bad boy would be her "angel". As their relationship grows stronger, Adrick has to decide whether or not he should let her stay in his life. Set her free and lose his hope, or make her stay and put her in danger?
