Max has powers, but not like the ones you see in fairy tales. She can daydream. I know what you're thinking, daydreaming isn't a power. It may not be, but when you can see the evil that is coming through daydreaming, then it kind of is. Her power can save thousands of lives or turn her into the one who takes them.

A young woman wakes up in the hospital, with no memories other than the fact she had just been horribly injured in a fight, and she has superpowers.
