Carter didn't ever think that her family would be that family on the news. She didn't ever think that someone close to her would pick up and leave without a trace.
It had been two years since the disappearance of her mother. Carter was the social outcast of a little town in North Carolina called Newton. Her family had moved there three years prior and everything had changed when the rumors of her being a witch came around. And it didn't help that a few weeks after the rumors her mother disappeared.
It was up to her father, uncle, and the new boy that just arrived to teach what her mother couldn't.
