It's the marauders fifth year at Hogwarts. Remus Lupin is struggling more than ever with his -as James and Peter like to call it- time of the month, as it increases as a danger to himself despite his facade that he hopes convinces everyone that everything is completely under control. (it's not) James Potter is back and better than ever, and determined to get Lily Evans to agree to go on a date to Hogsmeade with him. Regardless, Remus, Sirius and Peter still have a bet going that he will yet again fall short this year on a date with Lily. Sirius Black is, well he's Sirius Black, except he's not. He's starting his fifth year shunned and disowned by his family, and that leaves a mark on someone, a mark he is desperate to hide under smiles and the impression that things are only a little less than okay at home. Peter Pettigrew is still just Peter. Climbing aboard Hogwarts Express asking himself exactly why he insisted on being sorted Gryffindor and maybe if he should have asked to switch dorms in first year, but honestly, who else but Peter could handle living in a dorm with those three. And Professor Mcgonnigall is absolutely at her wits end with these four boys, because if she has to give out one more detention because someone set off dungbombs in the corridors, she might just have to retire.
