Avery lives in Orion, one of the last existing cities in the world. One by one, she received each sense— first touch, then taste, then smell, then hearing, and lastly sight. But just as Avery is about to find out if these are the only senses she'll get, she meets Alex, a boy raised outside Orion. Alex has always had five senses, and always will. And the longer she spends with Alex, the more Avery questions the system she was raised to believe in.
