From the poetry diary of the late Ms. Bennett:

I’ve always thought how interesting it would be
To live in a world where the dead could speak.
Man, to think there’d be a lot to say.
Who what, where, when and why would be answered
With no questions gone astray.
Unfortunately though, the dead can’t speak.
Except in this case of course
Where I give you one little mystique.
For on the eve of my sixteenth birthday
I, Lauren Bennett, was brutally murdered
By the person of course I least suspected.
My catastrophic death struck those in Florence so highly residents wondered,
"Who would ever want to leave our precious Laurie so nearly dismembered?"
I was after all, St. Mary high's perfect little angel, just as they remembered. Or was I?
Not everything was like it seemed in this quaint little town despite its peaceful eye.
My five friends and I did unforgivable things, wicked sins that in my part turned deadly.
And now, three years later, my killer has set out for sights much more redly.
For those who were around me when I was alive are the next targets.
Something I suggest neither ever forget.
Because those acts committed all when they were younger
Each deserves a punishment just like mine, perhaps even rougher.
This all began with one single tragic death.
And now, it must end with another who’ll be left with no breath.
The question now is who will it be?
Well I can say with certainty it definitely won’t be me.

❝Contrary to the popular belief, there's a very thin & fragile line between saying too much, and saying too little. More often than not, you'll find yourself unable to balance on that line & tipping to one side or the other, before inevitable falling. Whether or not there will be something there to catch you, that depends on how much was left unspoken.❞ There are things in life that we swear we'll never do. Some people pledge never to lie, others promise never to tell a secret; but of course, with a little time & persuasion, doing the action they vowed never to do is inevitable. Nearly everyone has made promises with a genuine sincerity in their hearts, only to later go & smash their promise to fragments with a sledgehammer- it's just what people do. No matter how hard they try & resist, if the thought remains bubbling in their mind for long enough, it's bound to boil over eventually Rachel Hale wanted to stay true to her promise. She swore she'd never go back to Beacon Hills after a fire killed nearly all of her family, yet when one of her two surviving siblings was brutally murdered within the confines of the town, she couldn't help herself; not after the arsonist who burned her life to the ground walked free. Alongside her older brother, Rachel went back to the damned town, & almost instantly fell head over heels into chaos- and took a whole lot of people with her. Before she even knew what hit her, she was fighting not only for her own life, but for the innocent people who didn't belong in a supernatural world like hers; innocent people she began to care more about than she was willing to admit. Unfortunately, for someone like Rachel who knows just how quickly everything she loves can be destroyed in a town like Beacon Hills, caring may turn out to be her biggest mistake. This is a #TeenFictionAnotherYearShortStory entry. --- Believe me, when adulting takes place, you forget your naïve little side instantly and are ready to fit yourself in the big boots. But let's say, it's too soon for Olivia Dee. For her, graduation was a ceremony, a consummation of all the misery and guilt she had had to bear, of which none whispered-and she finally had the chance to leave it all behind. But the world's twisted, right? What if...I say, she has to relive all her past memories--that nasty first kiss, to be labelled a troublemaker, to be accused of things she could never imagine ever doing? Sadly, this is not her decision to make. A day after her graduation, she wakes up to face her senior year again. She knows that she had completed her education, she spends hours yelling about it on everyone's face. But at the end, she has to go to college again with one question--how does she even return back in time? But this time, all she has to do is grapple with a recurring dream, try to eliminate all the dark spots in her senior year and find out the reason of this travel back in time. Yet one thing's for sure, she hasn't travelled back in time. I give you my word. I know. There are numerous black-outs, sudden falls, chills, drama and a whole different system of cheating, drugs, revenge and a famous Queen sister, who is, mysteriously, now not famous at all. Watch her swim and drown, as she struggles between her reality and to keep up with her past struggles again, literally. Meanwhile, there's one context she never understands: Death undoes anything. *** Credit to @cattown_graphics She is a real darling, and managed to present me this cover at a very short notice. I'm so grateful!

(Warning: weak writing from eons ago (2015?) that I've tried to chop up and made better as of 2023. Read at your own risk.) Luna should've never asked Lydia Martin for her edible crystal in chemistry class. Then she wouldn't have to deal with an unrequited love for Scott McCall or Derek's pack nagging her to no end. Everything would be normal. But it seems like normal's never gonna happen in a place like Beacon Hills.
