The first half of Kaylin Podmore's sophomore year of high school was pretty intense for someone who usually tries to keep away from the drama. It seemed like almost every day she spent her day fighting with someone, whether it was between her parents and her older sister Kimberly, her now ex-best friend, Grace Barnes, when they would mainly fight about or with Carson Hall and of course, Nichole Young, her boyfriend, Lucas Micthell's, ex-girlfriend. Now, it's the last month of the school year and the summer meets for Thoroughbred horse racing are kicking off, mainly focused on the elusive Triple Crown series which Faith's Magic, Kaylin's favorite filly, has been campaigning heavily for since the fall meets. Kaylin and Lucas are also going to be celebrating their one-year anniversary, which brings a whole new set of boundaries for the two of them to navigate with not only each other, but even their friends. The two of them spend their summer with their friends and family mostly up north in New York for horse races and celebrating multiple birthdays. They also spend time strengthening their relationship in more ways than one and having uncomfortable, but necessary conversations with friends and family about the changes in their relationship. As the summer break comes to an end, the drama from last year comes back around, the group prepares to see what the next school year will bring, as it's their time to buckle down to start figuring out what they want now that they're officially high school juniors and seniors.

Kaylin Podmore's sophomore year of high school is just starting out with her boyfriend of three months, Lucas Mitchell. They spent their summer together with their friends and family as well as traveling across the country for races while also navigating the waters of their newer relationship. As they start to get back into the swing of things with school back in session, Kaylin, her family and her friends soon realize how fast things can change. Kaylin and Lucas are still dealing with Nichole Young, who is Lucas's overly jealous ex-girlfriend who can't seem to grasp the fact Lucas doesn't want to be with her, let alone be around her. There's also a strange guy creeping around Nichole and Jesse Landford's, Kaylin's ex-boyfriend, individual group of friends who makes moves against Kaylin, even in front of Lucas a few times, none of which end well. In the middle of all this, Kaylin's friendship with Grace Barnes, her lifelong best friend, is put to the test after Grace starts acting off towards their group of friends and her boyfriend, Austin Ward almost out of the blue. Kaylin tries her best to keep her friendship with Grace together, but after numerous fights which all end in hurt feelings on both ends, it makes things difficult for Kaylin because her best friend isn't acting like who Kaylin thought she was. Kaylin's life has been thrown into the ringer, and she doesn't know what she wants to do, knowing what it could cost her. Does everything actually happen for a reason or will she make a rash decision she'll regret?

Finding Solace

54 parts Complete

No where to go, on the road Faylyn is on her way to finding her place in life. After a misunderstanding, prison and an argument with her parents, they kicked her to curb without even wishing her luck. Without a high school diploma or anything to keep her tied to the city, she left. Thankfully, with the car and clothes she had paid for, she headed South with the hope of finding her place in the world, a meaning for her existence. It was then she found herself in an uncommon situation, alone, in the middle of nowhere with something that needs more help than she does. Yes, this is a romance novel. It's more of slow building love rather than a raunchy, extremely passionate one.
