    Lori wakes up one day without any memory of her life, and suddenly she is told by a Greek goddess, Hestia, who she is and what she is to do. Then Hestia reveals the secret. Lori's actual name is Lauren Rosabella Diaz and she is Hestia's daughter. Then Lori is issued a quest from her mother. She meets the daughter of the pit, the daughter of the light, and the son of dreams.  What will she and the others do with the horrible gift that her mother has given her when they are thrust in the pit?
    
    Excerpt~~~
    When they reached the bottom, the group nearly died. 
    
    As they were falling, Kira fell asleep. The group was still holding hands. Lori started drifting off too. Breccia and Cory, though, were yelling, trying to talk together. 
    
    Then they both looked down. 
    
    "LORIIIIIII!!!!!" Breccia yelled. Lori became alert. 
    
    "WHAT?!" She yelled. 
    
    "I CAN SEE THE GROUND. WAKE UP KIRA! SHE NEEDS TO STOP OUR FALL!" Breccia yelled back. 
    
    Lori shook Kira's arm, but she didn't wake up. Lori twisted her body and kicked Kira in the shin. 
    
    "Ow! What was that for?" Kira woke up. 
    
    Lori pointed down. "GROUND!!!"
