Dan never was one for parties. He's a pretty awkward person and Dan has never been a pro at making new friends, never mind starting a conversation with someone. Phil loved parties. He was always up for one and he was a social butterfly, never afraid to start a conversation with someone. Dan and Phil have almost nothing in common, they and everyone around them agreed. When Dan makes a really cringe-worthy movie reference at his second party ever and Phil laughs not so discreetly it may be the start of a new friendship and possibly something more.
