Tension fills the room as the doctor walks in, discussing quietly with the nurse.
"What's her condition?" Michael asks, concern written across his face.
"She broke 3 ribs, fractured her right arm and broke her left ankle, she was lucky enough to keep injuries away from vital organs but we are unsure if she will survive" the nurse states, looking at her clipboard.
"She lost a lot of blood before we could get to her" The doctor explains.
I watch Michael fall to the ground holding his head and Emma start crying. But the last thing I remember is falling on the ground, and seeing the bright lights of the hospital above me.

And now the only things I hear are the sound of my heart monitor and the slow dripping of the IV into my arm. While practicing one day she fell off a high beam and was knocked unconscious, while in the hospital she is informed her parents were in terrible car accident and her mother is now in a coma. Throughout the story Jessica's family breaks, her friendships grow, her trust deteriorates, lost loves return, many tears are shed and hearts are broken but despite the pain her life goes on. With the Help of her best friend Ashley Bennett, her strong will and unwavering fight, Jessica learns to believe In the impossible and to not let go of the things in life that mean the most to you.Complete

I blinked. My eyes began focusing on shapes. I could hear murmuring voices. I could smell medication. I could taste blood. I could feel scratchy blankets lying over my frail body. Three humans, talking under their breaths. A blue cast on my leg. Another on my arm. Stitches in my other 'leg'. More stitches on my face neck and chest. By the time am conscious enough the sound of buzzing sockets as a result of short out wires that produce bright sparks in the now dark room are all I see and hear for a moment, lights flickering simultaneously. Later, I hear someone giving orders from outside our room accompanied by indistinct voices from agitated people being guided out of the building. My eyes scan the room searching for Damien. I heave a sigh of relief to see him laying on the ground his head leaning lazily on the door. A figure moves adjacent from me. The doctor takes closer yet cautious steps towards the girl still seated on the bed her eyes shut. "What in the world of the X-Men are you?"
