Rowan's parents are nonexistent anymore. Her memory of them only includes that her mom had died of cancer and her dad left her to join the army. After seven year in a foster care building, her uncle found her and brought her home to be apart of his family. She knew prior to her move that her Uncle had two sons and had married to a woman with one son. Little did she know that her "step-cousin" would become her best friend even though she knew he thought of her differently. Going through High School without her mom or dad, reading and writing was her only escape from her troubled life with the boys.
