Yendle has narrowly won the wars against Crimnum, but the only thing 13-and-a-half-year-old Sandra Potts cares about is the fact she's the only person in the world who doesn't have a Skill. Mom can burp frogs, Dad can smell things burning, and her little brother Alex can summon bugs out of the ground, but her? Zilch. To add to that frustration, Alex is recruited to the mysterious Center for Special Skills. Sandy avoids going insane with jealousy with the help of her two best friends at Purplum Junior High - confident, sassy Jackie who controls static electricity and the more serious Derek, who can see the inner workings of any mechanical object. Everything seems to be going great until Alex disappears and Sandy meets a man in a dream who reveals a terrifying secret - the Center is part of rebel Crimnum forces looking to take down Yendle from within. And apparently, because she doesn't have a Skill, she's the only one who can help - even though she feels like the most unqualified hero in the universe. The novel is contracted with Curiosity Quills Press and is set to come out summer 2016. The beautiful cover art was done by my little sister Alli (@submerged--).

Confident but anxious Dior Knight is constantly thinking about his father. After he abandoned him at the age of six and his mother was placed in a mental institution, Dior has spent the last nine years at the most prestigious orphanage in Novas City, California, turning to comic books and the love of his two best friends, Logan Gold and Artemis Jennings, for comfort. When he comes across twelve year old artist Kairo Sears and saves him from being bullied, an experience Dior knows all too well about, Kairo invites Dior and his friends on a once in a lifetime trip around the world with his loving but absent father, Aaron. Logan Gold isn't as confident as Dior and worries their group will split up once he leaves for college, leaving his longtime crush on Artemis unexplored. Artemis loves being the smart, sensible girl of the group but questions her origins and longs for an answer to who she would have been had she not been left at the orphanage. All Dior really wants is one final summer of fun with his friends before the future threatens to change everything. But when he is kidnapped and filled with energy from a dimension known as Otherness, he quickly realizes that being a real-life hero isn't as easy as the comics and movies make it seem. Why did the mysterious group only known as the Organization have him taken? Who is this Director that everybody seems to be so afraid of? And what does all of this have to do with Dior's Dad?
