Legacy Everhart lives in a world where everyone wants her dead. She has grown up hiding from the brutal police force known as The Law and she has never had a permanent home in her life. On the run, her life consists of thievery, smuggling, and doing any other job she can get her hands on from her boss and mentor; a black market dealer named Daryl.
Why is she struggling so desperately to stay alive? Because she is what everyone calls a Deviant. Deviants are genetically enhanced mutations that are rapidly approaching extinction. No one knows how these mutants appeared nor when, but their very existence is outlawed. They are deemed inhumane and dangerous, and Legacy's government will stop at nothing to have them all killed.
Legacy can see the future in brief flashes, and this ability made her an outlaw before she could steal her first fork.
Asher is a mysterious yet outgoing boy who is a part of an underground (literally) operation that he calls The Union. The Union is a militia of mutants who plan to take their freedom by force. Asher is also a Deviant, he can alter time itself for short moments. 
What will happen when the strange-yet dashing-young man named Asher crashes into Legacy's life, altering the very future? What Legacy doesn't know is that this spunky young boy will take her down a difficult path filled with things she's never even dreamed of; including hate, pain, sorrow, and hard decisions. But this path will also be filled with laughter, happiness, friends, and maybe even love.
As a war is brewing, Legacy must decide whether to fight for herself, or join a movement that could either change her life, or end it.All Rights Reserved

Nathan, already packed and waiting patiently, had a relaxed attitude, dressed in a hoodie and jeans with his long black hair slicked back and a faint goatee, which earned him a critical look from his mom, Jess, who didn't like his style. As they loaded the car, Mark double-checked everything, while Jess made sure nothing was forgotten. During the car ride their car broke down in the forest, Nathan wandered off and discovered a hidden village. The villagers initially appeared hostile but eventually spared his parents. While his family adapted quickly-his mother becoming a caregiver and his father earning respect as a hunter-Nathan struggled to adjust. Life in the village felt foreign, and he struggled with survival skills. Assigned a harsh mentor, Nathan faced frustration and mistreatment but showed persistence. After standing up to bullies, he earned some respect, and his mentor began to soften, though Nathan still felt like an outsider, unsure if he would ever belong, Nathan never thought what his life will be like in the next 10 years. Of course it does, after all, the highest concentration of Qi is found in forests where ancient redwoods grow. You might be wondering, what is Qi? In Japan it is called "ki," and in India, "prana"." The ancient Egyptians referred to it as "ka," and the ancient Greeks as "pneuma." In Africa, it's known as "ashe" and in Hawaii as "mana." Qi, Prana, Ki, call it what you will, this energy is the life force itself.

It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!

It doesn't make sense. How is any of it possible? Where does the plot line link? Why care about some random teen aliens? Oh, God, why does it get dark so fast?
