Alexa Withers' summer was just about to begin. This started with a heart-spoken 16-year old who made a mistake she will never regret. This mistake landed her a spot to live with her Aunt Marie in Southern California her whole summer with her older sister to babysit her. Blake Perkins is your average Californian, surfer, hot bodied 17-year old. His summer is about to turn around upon saving Alexa from drowning in the big waves of Santa Monica. Their summer is just about to get them to learn the meaning of sparks.

Summer. It's a time to hang out at the beach and live life to its fullest. But what if that's not what you want. What if you want to relax in the comfort of your own home rather than go out all night. That's Tessa for you. She loves the comfort of just watching Netflix and reading a book. Nonetheless she finds herself in a beach city, helping out her uncle for the summer. She still thinks her summer is going to stay the same, but what happens when she meets a surfer dude who can't help, but get under her skin. Will her hatred for him lead her to do things she never thought she would do to prove a point? Will she realize what she feels for him isn't just hate anymore, but possibly love. Who knows, but what she ends up learning is that there is no better time to see the world than now.
