Casper Caldwell is used to moving around. He and his mom have moved from city to city ever since he was three years old, when Casper's father passed away. His father has always been a mystery to Casper. He knew it hurt his mom to talk about him, so he never asked. But when Casper and his mom move back to Oak Hills, the town where they'd lived when his father passed, Casper starts to learn little things about his dad. The more he uncovers, the more mysterious his father seems.

On top of the mystery surrounding his father, Casper finds himself irresistibly drawn to a dark, brooding boy named Jackson. Before long Jackson introduces Casper to a whole new world of mystery. Murders start occurring in the once peaceful town, and It seems that Casper is somehow connected to the events unfolding. Despite all his efforts to lie low and stay away from trouble , fate seems to have big plans for Casper. He soon finds that no matter how well you think you handle change, you're whole world can shift in the blink of an eye.
