This story is about a girl, Hazel who is 15 years old. High school was not what she expected it to be. She was an extrovert and an intelligent girl. She had dreams and hopes of becoming someone. But high school changed it all. She knew she wasn't the prettiest girl around, but she definitely was pretty in her own way. Glances never made to conversations. Not every guy noticed her, but a few did & became a very important part of her life.
As a 15 something girl, Hazel was conscious, conscious of every step she had to take. She knew education could pave the path to what she wanted to be. Her hard work pays off when she gets scholarship into one of the best universities. We know life is full of surprises. Her life changes when she meets Joey.

Coop, or "Slick" as he's know to his mc brothers is macho and rough, smart and loyal, Coop can't understand why the new girl who is suddenly friends with all of his friends, annoys him so much. Hazel has brown hair with blonde streaks and a red tint, that goes half way down her back and is straight but occasionally has a couple waves.
