One day, two inklings by the names of Jazzlyn and Luke finally become official members of Inkopolis's famous teams, Team Lily Stone and Team Toxic. In surprise, they find out that the two were rivals ever since the groups were made. After, they go under the orders of an older squid named Cap'n Cuttlefish to save the great zapfish, stolen by the Octarians.  So, they work together to get the zapfish back, while being part of two teams who are in rivalry. Will they save the zapfish and return Inkopolis to normal, or will they cause the entire city to fall?

Turf wars, fighting aliens, trying to become the freshest squid on the block; it's all in a day's work for Zaki. This show is based on the hit Nintendo game of the same name. Our protagonist: a spunky, clever, and determined Inkling named Zaki who runs away from home and goes to Inkopolis, hotspot of the biggest new sport: ink battles! She tries to find her niche as a battler and makes a few friends along the way, like the kind but fussy Mikado, an introspective sharpshooter named Keiso, and Teruo, a self-proclaimed roller gal with a sparkling personality, but she also finds a few rivals... Oh, and she also gets roped into becoming Agent 3 of the Squidbeak Splatoon, on a mission to rescue the Zapfish from the Octarians, who have returned after the Great Turf War of 100 years ago. So she's living the dream, but she's also living a bizarre double life. One she'll have to keep from her friends. They wouldn't want her doing shady stuff, right? I do not own Splatoon or any of the characters except for Zaki, Mikado, Keiso, Teruo, Biito, and a few minor characters. Cover design is mine. The fact that the team just recovered from the "Fuzzy goo invasion", and being promoted to captain, isn't really helping much with the captain's personal problems. But when Eight seems to go missing, and there are reports of an invasion where she lives, Captain Three starts getting worried. DISCLAIMER: I have not played the latest splatoon game yet, so NO SPOILERS PLZ. Everything here that relates to the game is pure speculation from the trailer. This is a story that follows the main character, a boy named Jared who starts off as a new inkling joining the neighborhood sport in his world known as Splatoon. He just turned 14 recently and is a bit of a newb so he doesn't know at all how to play the game or move really fast but thankfully he meets many new friends and rivals to help guide and motivate him into doing better. Along his battles he discovers inkopolis's enemies, the Octarians and gets involved in saving inkopolis from them. Wether or not he succeeds in defeating them is for you to find out. Its gonna be a crazy ride for this inkling It'd be best if you know/played splatoon before reading this as some things could be confusing. Now then enjoy the story if your interested! :)

Inkopolis bay is a new place to start, no more rotten past following X as they move in. They get situated easily enough, but...they still don't have friends, even with a curious sea hareling named Y following them around. Life is boring for a little while until Y takes them to meet their friends. And for a moment, life doesn't seem so bad... Until they invade. Not Makoids, not Salmonids. The Chrysalings. Strange hybrids of insects and cephalopods have come to Inkopolis bay to take everyone back to their home, wanting to please their ruler with the love for music, friends and battle that everyone has. With X, Y, and a few others surviving hidden in the ship of NS Arctorra, it's up to them to bring everyone back and restore the bay to what it was before.

Heyo! This is my first Splatoon fanfic here, so I hope it's not too cringy. A bit of swearing (maybe), but overall, pretty friendly (I hope). I'd say 10+ for ages. And none of the photos or characters that are in the book belong to me, unless I say so. Anyway, on to the description. (Cover is credited to @ThatSaltyMango) Startled and afraid, (Female) Agent 8 fights for her freedom against (Male) Agent 3 after abandoning her squadron that was supposed to lead the getaway to Octo Canyon. Out of nowhere, they're both suddenly knocked unconscious and wake up in a dark lab, about to be sanitized. Will they escape? Find out. Reached #1 in Splatoon at some point during 2021 93,287 words (yes, i calculated dw), not counting the 7 intermission/notification chapters. (20k views as of Monday, May 1st, 2023) Edit (June 19th, 2023): guys the first like 20 chapters is THE cringiest stuff i have ever written or thought of please. disregard my 10-11 year old self's ideas and maybe just skim read until chapter 24 yk?? to save my dignity??? please??? also i might do a remake of this just bc i McFlippin can ok. also cuz the first 20 chapters make my eyes bleed
