Rylan Kala was son of an alpha. Until his pack was attacked, his  parents murdered in front of him. Most of their  warriors murdered, the innocents killed as well. Those who were not killed were taken prisoner and sold to the slave traders. Slaves are all omegas, if someone was not a natural born omega they tortured them until they be came submissive. The only problem with Rylan is that he refuses to be turned into one mentally. He is an alpha, he keeps getting himself sent back to the slave traders who grow more and more in patient. So they tell him that this is his last shot. If he comes back to them once more they will kill him.
