When a mourning girl named (Y/N) loses her family to a ruthless killer known by the name Kira, she dedicates her existence to catching him. Along the way she teams up with her idol L, a strange, but talented detective that is working the Kira case. The two have a connection that cannot be explained by either. Together, will they catch Kira? Or will the two's connection be the very weakness Kira uses against them? 


*This is based off of the manga, Death Note. The original manga may be altered to fit the story's narrative. I do not own any of the characters in Death Note, or you ;)*

ALSO one more thing I've got a lot of comments saying that this seems more like a Light X Reader fanfic but plz be patient it's a slow build up and everything will make sense in the end. THANKS

High school is when it happened. Criminals start to die, and I start to be more careful of what I'm doing. But we all knew about the one who kills them all... Kira.... I don't believe the fact that he's a god like everyone says... What's more weird, other than Kira, is the fact that the top student in school, Light Yagami, wants to befriend me. College life is the next step in my life. After college I want to join the police force, work under cases and such. Kira is still going around, killing people, now starting to kill innocent people. Then, the person who I'm forced to sit with talks to me again... Light.. But I know that knowing Light... Makes me feel uneasy. Especially ever since I passed notes with him in high school. Ever since then, I saw something by his side at all times, a shinigami... Shinigami.. Gods of death... Then there's a notebook I noticed that Light had.. Death note... I think Light is Kira.. But then I meet L, a member of the group who's working on the Kira case, the best detective in Japan, the one person who hides his identity.... Can I tell him..? Can I trust him...? He seems to trust me enough to tell me that he's L. But there are a few things stuck in my head... Why did he offer me to help him? Why does he want me to help at all? Why does he want me by his side? Why does he want me to choose a letter as a name? Especially for broadcasting? L.... You care about me... Don't you? Or... Are you just trying to make me feel welcome..? This was originally going to have a character but then I decided to make it and L x Reader story. Your point of view will be written in first person, this is only because this is my first x reader story. But I hope you enjoy nonetheless. DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything from the anime Death Note, and I don't own you and your wonderful selves.

And that's how your story begins Y/N was a normal girl well except the part that she was a kira suspect. Her adopted brother, Matsuda is always by her side. Soon after L is convinced that she is not kira. L moves on to a next suspect, Light yagami. But miss Y/N is still working with him. Soon she starts to feel something for the detective.
