This book let's you see through the eyes of a black lab puppy  named Bella. In the beginning the puppy lives in an Animal Shelter.  She later is adopted by a 13 year old girl named Sarah. Sarah has an abusive mother that beats her. Sarah runs away with Bella to find another place to live. They have fun adventures along the way.
