Reader discretion is advised. *****This has been edited from the original story (Previously Auras) ***** Aurora was a normal college student working towards a business degree until she went to a party that changed her life. Everyone she knew and cared about was murdered in a twisted idea of fun, she was the only survivor. Quickly dumped into a world of supernatural Aurora must find her place despite the fact a possessive werewolf seems to want to tell her what to do. Can she adjust or will she crumble under the pressure? Excerpt: The screams and cries for help faded while silent tears continued to stream down her face. Her hands were slapped over her mouth to muffle any noise that escaped her quivering lips. She wasn't sure how long she was in that pantry but couldn't come out until she was beyond certain that they had left. For a moment, she started to have hope that maybe they wouldn't be able to find her, but a voice spoke up, and fear flooded in once again. "You cleared out the upstairs, too, right?" "Yeah." Another voice responded. There was a slight pause, "Hmm. Then where is that heartbeat coming from, I wonder." His voice had a sickening amusement to it, and her heart rate uncontrollably spiked with the adrenaline pumped through her veins. Was he talking about her? The thought that he could hear her heartbeat was crazy. It just wasn't humanly possible. Footsteps grew closer to the kitchen. Somehow, they had found her. She said one last prayer and goodbye to her life as the pantry opened. "Boo." The man yelled, peering in at her. She was frozen. There was nothing more she could do. She was going to die. "Little Birdy," he stretched out his hand, "come out to play."

Guarded Love (COMPLETED)

66 parts Complete Mature

A follow up to my Cullen/Amell saga to get Alistair some attention and love. Alistair's life isn't all bad. He's King, he's got two kids he adores a wife he's vaguely aware exists. The only thing missing in that blissful domestic picture is someone to love. But all in all, things are weirdly working out for him. That all changes when assassins dare to come after him and his children on the little prince's naming day. With a threat daring to be so brash to attack the King, he takes on a personal bodyguard. Picked seemingly at random from the City Watch, Reiss thought she was little more than an average elf trying to make it in thedas. Now it's all on her to keep the King alive against this enigmatic threat, and try to ignore the fact she keeps blushing whenever he smiles.
