Hwang Ari is a high school student stuck in the background, quietly crushing on her golden boy seatmate, Mingyu, who seems far out of her reach. When her new classmate, the mysterious and handsome transfer student, Wonwoo, offers to help her by pretending to be her boyfriend, Ari sees it as her best shot to finally catch Mingyu's attention. What starts as a bet soon spirals into something much more complicated.
As Ari and Wonwoo spend more time together, their fake relationship begins to feel real. She starts to see Wonwoo in a different light and realizes that maybe her heart is shifting in an unexpected direction. Meanwhile, Mingyu's tangled relationship with the popular and unattainable Sohyung gets more confusing, and his sudden jealousy over Ari and Wonwoo raises more questions than answers.
While Ari navigates her confusing feelings for both boys, the stakes rise when her childhood bestfriend, Na Jaemin, unexpectedly reappears, stirring jealousy in Wonwoo and Mingyu. As all these players move around her, Ari must decide whether to stick to the original plan or forge her own path.
But beneath the surface, Wonwoo is playing a game of his own, and his reason for transferring to Seoul could change everything. When a major life event forces Ari to choose between her dreams and her heart, she realizes that sometimes, playing the game means you have to make sacrifices-and the ultimate bet is on yourself.
