Once upon a time…

There was a girl. Not a remarkably pretty or smart girl, nor one who was extremely talented or gifted. She was just a girl, a child no one expected anything too great out of. She didn't have a tortured past, secret parents or diabolical siblings. She was just an average girl.
But this average girl was anything but average in her thoughts and dreams. She dreamed of heroes and villains, of grand adventures and impossible tasks. She dreamed of break neck chases through dark forests, she dreamed of soaring castles and mystical beings, she dreamed of dashing rogues and charming princes, she dreamed of knights on tall horses and princesses who could rescue themselves. She dreamed of a place of adventure and excitement and love and sacrifice and joy and tears.
But it was all in her head. And when she was snapped out of her dreams of magic and trees she was faced with the harsh reality of the world she had left behind, of a world where magic was gone, where adventure was seen as uncool, where love was tainted by material goods and society's choices. Where she could not shine because there were others who shined so much more brightly and because she had no reason to.

She dreamed of a place where she could shine. A place where her responsibilities were anything but normal. A place where she could make a difference. A place where she could be recognized, where she could belong, where she could call home.

And it was only in her dreams that she found magic and wonder and adventure and love.

But what if dreams became reality?

His head pounded, forcing him to wake up and see what caused the pain. The guy sat up, looking around while doing so. He was in an unfamiliar desert, with no clue as to how he got there. He thought it was just some strange dream, the feeling of life he had with no explanation of why he had it. The man could not remember his name, or anything else about him. All he could remember was his age, which was seventeen. On this continent he was in, you were considered an adult at the age of sixteen. The guy stood up, brushing the sand off of his clothing. He combed through his brown hair, doing the same thing he did to his clothes and tried to get the sand out even harder than he did to the clothing. The man looked in his pockets for some sign of identification, something that could tell him who he was and why he was here. Moving his fingers around the jacket's pocket, his fingers grasped a piece of paper and pulled it out and into the view of his purple eyes. It was a small slip of paper, with only two words written on it. Agent 34. Book One in the Agent 34 and the Chronicles of Renya series. You, Y/N, couldn't be happier in your entire life. The love of your life is fighting with you side by side and helping keep others safe and out of danger. His kindness extends to the far reaches of Ooo for you and he has made it very evident that he would do anything if it meant keeping you safe. You undoubtedly express the same feelings towards him on the battle field and especially off of it, taking great care of him and his comrades whenever they get hurt or are just in need of a friend. Soon, however, Finn starts leaving the tree house more frequently and he becomes a little distant. You don't take it too personally, but his ghosting mood starts to become a common thing in your relationship, and your suspicions arise. He'll leave late at night and come back the next day when it's almost dawn, covered in bruises or even still bleeding. He tells you it's fine, plugging in excuses for his behavior, until one night in the woods you find him with another girl. You had never been on quite steady terms with most wizards, but this one had to be the worst. The two of you have dark history and with Finn now getting in the mix without his understanding makes him a dangerous advantage to her. If this "training" keeps up with him coming home with more injuries then you will have to stop them. What if this girl doesn't stop? What if she keeps going until she kills him? What if she kills him to get to you? You can't risk your hero getting hurt by one of your own enemies. Once upon a time he lost you when you were too far from reach; you aren't going to lose him now when he's this close. If she wants to play tug of war with Finn then you'll entertain her. But the last thing you will do is allow him to be on the wrong side of wizardry. Because as far as your concerned, you're in the right.
