I had to write a sonnet over my winter vacation for English and a lot of people said it was sad but good so I'm posting it. I'll be posting most, if not all, of my school papers now that I'm in high school and I'm becoming an actually decent writer. Enjoy :)
(Disclaimer: I'm not listing this as mature however, it does "imply" depression. That's basically what it is. It is also a PSA for bullying and stuff like that. Saying that it does happen and even one peron helping can mean the difference.)

Blue Hair and Bruised Knees
My life used to be pretty boring. Everything was average. Normal family, normal looks, normal house, normal job, normal life. The only non-boring aspect of my life was my best friend which was only because she always managed to mess it up somehow. I didn't really mind much because it kept things interesting. That is until she disappeared leaving me to care for her fatherless child with nothing more than a few hundred pounds and a sorry note. She did ruin my old life. She ruined everything that I'd actually cared for. My parents hated the fact that I was 'throwing my life away' for a child that wasn't mine. Not to mention illegally. I dyed my hair blue in rebellion. My own way of saying "F*CK YOU!" ...They kicked me out shortly after. I couldn't find a decent job in the area and the rumors became so vicious that I just left and never looked back. Old life: Destroyed, unraveled, completely gone. "Jess, would you please get his order." Lisa winked at me and pointed the guy near the door. She is my one and only bestfriend since kindergarten. "Okay." I wore my waitress apron and put my phone and car keys on the pocket. I dragged myself to the guy's table to get his order. "Good Morning, Sir. Can I take your order?" The guy put the menu down on the table and he's checking me out! Jerk. "I'll just have the waitress in front me. Name your price." He winked at me. "Jerk!" I got the glass of water from the other table and poured it from his head to his pants so that it looked like that he'd pee on it and I stormed out from the restaurant. Who does he think he is?!? --------------------------------------------------- Jessica is the only child of the highest tax payers in the country and belong to the top 5 richest persons in the world. Her parents own a hundred of five star restaurant chains and hotel & casinos in the country and a hundred more around the world. Her parents love and protect her so much because they don't want publicity for their daughter. They want their daughter to have her private life. Jessica doesn't want other people to know that she's the daughter of the richest couple in the country but of course almost everyone knows about it. She wants to have a simple life. One thing about Jessica is that, she hates guys because she was 'only' cheated and used by four guys already. They used her money and these four guys, she'll see them again at school and that bothers her so much. She don't feel love or hurt from guys anymore. Her heart is numb. It feels nothing. For guys. These four guys made Jessica a cold and heartless person. I used to be popular, but we all know that. They started bullying Kayla, but I refused. It didn't look like it bothered her, but I saw it in her eyes. It hurt her more than anyone will ever know. There was absolutely nothing to her. I refused to be a part of what they were doing to her, and they hated me for it. Life as a child was amazing. Your weight didn't matter. Your clothes didn't matter. Your parents money didn't matter. All that mattered was who you were going to play with, but that's all gone now. My sister hates me, my mom has no time for me, and my dad, well he left me. My life has been one whirlwind after another. Except I'm content with it, till it all comes crashing down. Every television, billboard, and magazine is covered with models. Models that are supposed to be role models, for us. Perfect face, perfect body, perfect life. I have none of those things. All my life I've never cared that I was over weight, and didn't wear makeup. Who knew a boy could change all of that? That's when I decided to starve myself, force myself to look like the girls in the magazines. Who knew all I was doing was slowly killing myself?
