At first she thought that her dream many moons ago, of a great wave crashing into the buildings and destroying everything in its path was just a nightmare. However, it was the visit from the Valar which sadly confirmed, the very things she was afraid would be true. In order to ensure the safety of her people, Miriel bravely steps up and makes the ultimate sacrifice by staying behind, an action that absolutely horrifies the son of Amandil. So, the great queen regent, and the captain of the sea guard, share one last night of full of passion and love together before they get separated seemingly, for the foreseeable future in their eyes.
