After a disaster strikes the earth, teenagers are all that survive. But they develop strange and dangerous abilities that brand them as monsters. They're nicknamed the Freaks. Luca's a Freak like no other. When he turns eighteen, he's sentenced to death by a government sent from space, known as the Soldiers, to wipe the earth of the teens and start new, but the Freaks don't allow that. Luca is saved from execution by Freaks who bring him to safety, and there he finds not only food and shelter, but more like him surviving, when he thought they had all died. He's immediately given a task by the mysterious leader of the Freaks, and he's faced with two options: should he sit back and watch as his own are captured and killed by the enemy he's dealt with before, or should he risk everything - even his own life - to save them all?Complete
Birthday on The Moon
A coming of age tale that follows Adrian as he is engrossed in his life at home his books. A 12-year-old boy that has not seen the world and wants adventure but does not dare step out the door, instead of spends his time alone, often with his dog and reads a lot. Along came his Grandpa that saw this adventurous spark in him. After setting a challenge for Adrian to prove himself he takes him on his first adventure out of the house and to Moon to help him hunt cheese with Grandpa, along with Woody, their dog. But they are on a race against time, and against nature, to get back home in time for his 13th birthday party as his parents do not fully agree with him stepping outside of the house and going on dangerous adventures. "Travel is for troublemakers" he was always told. It is a mix of Rick and Morty in a sense of character dynamics, different locations and tools used, but without the profanity. As well as a mixture of TinTin and his adventures as well as having a dog as a companion. It is also partially inspired by H.G Wells' 1901 novel 'The First Men in the Moon'. The first novel that I ever started writing. I started it in December 2019 so the title and cover are not finalised and are still in progress. ***This is the first edit after having written the draft, it is a long way from being completed or ready and I will do another revision and add more aspects of the story**Complete
