She discovers lost color on a pirate ship filled with a group of men who teach her how much life she's missed out on. Only they can't fill the gap in her heart that's been ripped apart by years of desertion. But maybe Captain Elias Smith can.

A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I wrote this book to show that everyone deserves a chance. It is an old-style book, with love, funny lines and fiction. A captain known for his wickedness and ruthlessness set his eyes on a young woman, one evening, at a tavern. After she refused him, she was kidnapped by him and forced to stay there for the rest of her life, not knowing that she would eventually fall in love with him. When it comes to him, he had a terrible life before, and although he dated many women, he loved only one. One that eventually wanted to leave him. Currently, he is addicted to alcohol, sleeps with many women, and has a lot of money. When it comes to her, she was born into a rich family, but her father lost all the money in a game. Ashamed to see his wife again, he left her, leaving her to raise the child alone, in poverty. When she grew up, she got engaged to a rich man for a better life. Currently, she is a brave but innocent woman. Will they manage to be together? This book also contains bad language, abduction, violence, murder, inappropriate jokes, alcoholism, drug addiction, suicide attempts and very explained scenes. All eyes in the castle, and kingdom, turn to Adellia expecting her to step into her mother's shoes. However, both women aren't ready to give up their lives just yet. Wanting to learn more about her kingdom, and the people of it, before she is forced into an arranged marriage and the throne for the rest of her life, Adellia ventures out into the kingdom to do just that. While there, Adellia meets a young blacksmith by the name of Faron and gets sucked into a plot that goes against her, and her mother's wishes. Will she be able to venture into the unknown, and survive out of the watchful eye of the palace? This book has sexual reference and mentions of things that could possibly be triggering to some - e.g. young motherhood and loss of a parent. This work is usually split into two parts, but I have decided to take down the second part, and consider the first part, one book for now, so I can work on the second.
