'Hey', he said.
I know that for a lot of girls, being said hello by a boy is something completly usual. But for me, it wasn't at all. No one has ever bothered to talk to me when there was no need to. It was only one word. One look. One smile. And it somehow made me feel different. For one second, the entire world seemed to have stopped moving. Then I felt a rush of adrenaline entering me as I stammered 'hi' hardly intelligibly. The beatings of my heart were now resonating in my breast. No. Not again.
'Are you alright?' he asked. 'You're shivering'.
'I'm fine, thank you', I said, not wanting to create any more drama.
I quickly turned towards to the other side and closed my eyes for a minute. Focus on breathing, slowly. I tried to empty my mind and to remember a relaxing sound. The sound of the water immediately emerged into my mind and I pictured myself walking around a beautiful swimming pool right next to a sea of a deep blue colour. That was it. I slowly started to relax, and I couldn't help smiling.
