More than anything, Hannah Charming wants to make her own choices. But in a world governed by the pages of fairy stories, this is simply not possible. Or so they all think. Desperate to prove herself, Hannah builds a machine. A monster she can fight and use to show the world who she is.

But there are other schemes afoot deep in the dark corners of this supposedly perfect world, and Hannah soon discovers that happily ever after is not as simple as the books imply...
