Sixteen-year-old Anya Alderman is tired of life being so predictable, so boring. After realizing that the relationship she's been waiting for isn't going to happen, she decides to look elsewhere for that connection she's never had. When Anya meets a charming man more than 20 years her senior, she thinks she may finally have what she hears others so highly praise, until the perfectly boring balance in her life is thrown off and Anya finds herself torn between conflicting feelings of disgust, confusion, and want.
