No one knew what exactly happened the night Nathan Blake went missing from the Gifted world until Arabelle Blake was assigned the task of retrieving her brother from the human world; somewhere no one Gifted should be. 

As Arabelle barely manages to live through the new lifestyle of the human world, things take a darker turn as secrets from people around her begin to unfold, the reason for Nathan's disappearance and why Arabelle was given the job in the first place.

Through living with high school for the first time and meeting new acquaintances along the way, Arabelle learns that there is more to life than being stuck in a palace to learn her way into taking Nathan's place as the next leader when all hope was lost. And that the job was a lot harder than she originally imagined.

With the weight of the entire Gifted world upon her shoulders, will she succeed? Most importantly, will the human world capture her within it's grasps like it did with her brother?
