Kaori clutched that part of her shirt covering her heart fighting off a wave of sobs tears streaming down her face. Looking up her eyes widened surprised to see no one their. She had been so use to the warm hands always outstretched to her when she fell, it was hard to process that they were gone. The sobs she has been fighting escaped her lips ringing in her ears as her cries were blocked by the pouring rain. With a horse voice and raw throat Kaori mumbled under her breath. "Is it even possible to fill the gap the person you believed to be the love of your life left behind?" She tightened her grip on her shirt.
"And if I can does that mean that person wasn't truly important to me? Does that mean I betrayed them." The sound of splashing footprints interrupted her dark thoughts as a familiar hand reached out to her. The person before her smiled warmly which was strange compared to his usually tough persona. "I think its better to fill the gap. That way the person you had to leave doesn't have to worry about you." He said as Kaori reluctantly grabbed his hand.
