Also, the twins are a year younger when this takes place, so they are 11 going on 12 when Mabel goes to Gravity Falls and the whole Weirdmageddon thing happens. . Summer was over, and it was time to get back to school. Also the barrier around Gravity Falls doesn't quite effect Bill anymore since he is now kinda bound to Mabel's mind and wherever she is, he is too. Mabel, and Dipper have not actually met Bill... In this lifetime anyway. They still solved mysteries when they were younger as Mabel refers to their old "Mystery Twins" Nickname once. (Stan and Ford know Bill, just as they had in the show but i don't really touch on that just an FYI) None of the artwork is mine, full credit to the artists!!
