The Saga of Vanez Bertrand: The Beginning

This is a continuing saga of a character named Vanez. He grew up an abused child of a drunken father in Paris, France during the 18th century but fate had another plan for him. Fate wanted him to become an assassin.

Excerpt from the book.
"I rush over to Tark and start yelling for him to wake up. His face was a pale blueish-purple and he had dried up tears leading from his eyes down his cheeks.
"Wake up!" I screamed as I shook him.
I started to press on his chest to see if it would help but I had no clue on what I was doing. I leaned against his chest and listened for a heartbeat...nothing. I started to cry. I look over and saw that my father had stopped breathing as well. Sitting there in the dead silence I realized I no longer had anyone. My mother died ten years ago; now my father and only sibling have been murdered. I am alone."
