Rules Are Made To Be Broken

There are rules at Lincoln High, and, if you break them, you're considered an outcast for the rest of your high school career. No exceptions.

And those rules go as follows:

Ⅰ) Never miss a party.
Ⅱ) Never get caught doing anything illegal.
Ⅲ) Never cheat on someone.
Ⅳ) Never snitch someone out.
Ⅴ) Never break a promise.
Ⅵ) Never talk to Elizaveta Cruz [unless bullying].
Ⅶ) Never smile at Elizaveta Cruz [unless sadistically].
Ⅷ) Never laugh at Elizaveta Cruz jokes.
Ⅸ) Never sit next to Elizaveta Cruz.
And last of all,
Ⅹ) Never have a crush or fall in love with Elizaveta Cruz.

No one knows how, or why, there are so many rules against Elizaveta Cruz, and no one wants to risk finding out.

Heath Alexander has always followed "The Rules." Breaking one was practically a sin in his eyes. Because of this, Heath Alexander was considered 'popular'.... or maybe it was because he was the starting quarterback of the Lincoln High Beasts'. Either way, Heath has always followed the rules like they were law.

That is, until he actually meets Elizaveta Cruz.

Well, meets is a funny word.

More like finds her bawling her eyes out outside the apartment building he lives in. Forgetting all about "The Rules" for a moment, Heath goes to console her, and realizes, Elizaveta isn't that bad. That's when he begins to question the rules.

Maybe that's where the saying "rules are made to be broken comes in."
