It is the year 1557, young girls of noble and rich class are in a hurry to be wed. Alliances are being made. Something is in the air and it's the treacherous politics of the current rulers of the European countries. But a betrothed pair is in the rise of becoming what Europe will see as the most powerful King and Queen. But first, they must get through all the lies and dishonesty in their court, deal with certain darkness that curls around their people. And most of all, they must learn to trust each other.
